Ayurveda and yoga descend from a spiritual tradition that sees of life as a ritual of tending to our inner fi re, or Agni. When burning bright our agni endows us with radiant health, clarity, and the courage to act with integrity. Moment by moment we make choices in our yoga practice that infl uence the internal fi res of our body and mind. Join Scott for yoga practice and discussion of how we tend our inner fi re with asana and breathing practices.

ABHYANGA or AYURVEDIC SELF-MASSAGE

Ayurvedic self-massage is very useful for circulating prana. It is a wonderful support during a women’s menstrual cycle or when we wake up feeling weak, stagnant, or depressed and are unmotivated to practice. Self-massage is considered to be a useful practice for deepening selfknowledge and compassion. Scott will teach a seated massage sequence and one that can be used with oil before bathing or going in a sauna.
